My Resistance

My Resistance

A Poem by Saving Grace

I want to take this away.

I'm your bold reminder

Of how you always say:

Put your fears behind your faith.

Not today.

Facing the world,

I call your name.

This time we must

Stand up for ourselves.

What can you say?

Wont you just hold me

And make it go away?

I don't think we'll get through.

But, here with you I wont back down.

How can we now?

It's life or death tonight.

Now don't resist the urge to fight.

Do you still fear the day

We made the first mistake?

As i watch us fade away

I take my stance.

I lost before not again.

If we lose it's the end.

We can't let them take our world

And kill our dreams.

It's all we have so don't let go.
