The Remainder of Your Grip

The Remainder of Your Grip

A Poem by Savanna Robbins

You refuse to leave

Clinging to me

Holding what’s left of me together

I’m stretching and reaching

Try to grow, but sabotaged by my fear

Of letting go of the shell

That was the old me

Rusty, yet now shiny and new

I must be willing to change

For I don’t know what the future holds
