The Chance to Change Everything

The Chance to Change Everything

A Poem by Savanna Robbins

I awake, a man in a cloak beside me

I lie on the dew soaked grass

“Where are we?! I dare ask

The cloaked man points “Do you enter or not?”

I look ahead, at a glowing portal, a door carved into the high peak

I shudder from the chill in the air

Not knowing what lies behind this light I ask

“Where does it lead? Where will I end up?”

“Where you are meant too. This door, would change your life as you know it.”

My curiosity gets the best of me

So I tread slowly but surely

Crossing under the light and to the other side..
