The Chilly Season

The Chilly Season

A Poem by Savanna Robbins

I’m out and about, in the snowy field

The green grass looks pristine with a layer of white

I build a snowman, who smile like no other man

Rubbing my arms to heat up and beat the cold

I slowly walk to my door, now chilled to the core

Grab my favorite mug, while my pup and I hug

And wait for my hot chocolate to steam up, and taste like a dream

A delightful reminder of winter and both the fun and beauty of snowfall on a day which has been scorchio here. That mug of hot chocolate certainly rewarding to warm yourself up from the cold.
