Even Extroverts Need Space

Even Extroverts Need Space

A Poem by Savanna Robbins

The overwhelming grip

On my too soft heart

Seeing all the pain and suffering

Drifting around the world, to find more victims

Sink it’s teeth into their vulnerability

Trying to pass it from one person to another

I keep my grip on their hand

To absorb the pain they’re about to feel

It rips through my body like a shock

Draining me of any remaining energy

So I have to recharge yet again
