Last Time

Last Time

A Story by Savanna Robbins

I lie alone in the rumpled sheets, with tear streaked cheeks. He has left me for the last time. I grab at my clothes and slip them on with ease. I hastily write him a note without a single term of endearment. I go to the bathroom, put on my face and snip my hair just so. No more lies, or half assed apologies. I gather my purse and leave with a small smile gracing my face.

Beautifully written story of courage and resolve to escape from a bad situation. I totally get the “snip my hair just so” and “gather my purse” lines- that’s how we women gather our strength! Kudos to you Savanna!
