My love.

My love.

A Poem by sav

In the beginning
My love was thinning
That was,
Until she came along.
She brought hope
More than most
And so
I finally felt love.
It's been a few weeks
There are now a few tweaks
And a fear
That soon it will end.
So now I will hope
And pray that the note
Will just be an apology
And not the final bend.
But for now,
My love
I shall see you in another lifetime
As we might be the right people
Just at the wrong time.

I'm back again,
My love.
I'm afraid now
That soon we might end.
Last time
It was just a scare
But now,
It might be here.
I don't want to lose you.
Not again.
But as you sit away from me,
I realize -
We're in the final bend.

Hello, my love.
The final bend
It already ended
I can no longer call you mine.
You seem to have fallen out of love
Only after a day or two.
I myself
Am trying my best
To live without you.
I may have found someone else
They care more than you ever have
I just miss the way you used to look at me.
I'm sorry
That we just weren't meant to be.

damn impressive sav for one so young. look forward to watching you while you hone your craft.

ps, know it's tough to lose past work, but it happens to us all, and in time you will find a lot of what you fear is lost will bubble up to the surface again in new and unimaginable ways. that's the mystery and the magic of poetry, nothing is ever quite as fixed in place as you think, and everything in the mind is malleable.

good luck
