A Poem by savesthedaynj

I wander from the uncertainty of Politics

to the calluses of your fingers,

beaten by sticks and strings and molded by will.

Your deep set, ice eyes raise the temperature of the room

and all I want to do is lick your lips.

Taste the pain she caused and soothe

the salty sores,

to cause your sultry smile to curl across

your face again.

You are my rock star.

My fingers tap your hip bones impatiently.

Gravity takes affect on your jeans as

it takes affect on my blood.

I’m dizzy with desire to hold you

far closer to me than now.

Nipping your clavicle, I feel the buzz of your approval.

Bite your lip, baby, to hold you on the edge.

Your jawbone becomes the home of my

mouth muscles as I swirl circles into your sex drive

you whisper your urgency and I stare into your

seas of blue

Hold on, we’re getting to the good part.

The lights go out around us and all that

guides me is your hair in my

left hand.

Light flashes across the monotonous sky and I

guide you to the strategic mattress.

One layer to bliss

One layer to you

One layer to me and you, feet

facing each other,

intertwined.

Your faint

heart ticks in rhythm to

my breath and your seething

pants as you swallow

air in gulps before diving back in for

round two.

I grip the smooth curves of your

bicep to stabilize

my thoughts.
