Dirty Laundry

Dirty Laundry

A Poem by savesthedaynj

Cheer bubbles last night away,
carries the current of secrets
on a Tide of soapy water.

Hot water will Wisk out
the spots you cannot face
tomorrow.

With all of the people washing
their hands of racy forays,
the room becomes steamier

than their affairs.
Shout out the lipstick
near your fly and the sin

remains secret. All you need
is for this color to bleed
from your pure whites

with a simple Spray and Wash.
With no sign of adulteration
left in the cloth,

it is now safe to Snuggle
with the Downy warmth
of monotonous life.
