A Woman

Hated by some,

Loved, but respected, not by everyone.

Cared still for all,

like the roses in her life's garden

expressed not, that could offend any person.

She possessed a heart

warmer than the sun.

a love..not sensed by everyone.

She toiled, and toiled

knew, she could never be a brave man

nor, she could get anything in return.

yet smiled thoughtfully, on being nature's interesting element.

She knew not,  that the world couldn't be anything,

without her mere presence!

The flowers giggled, and nature smiled

the moon grew brighter,

when this fact it realized.

God sighed at this sight,

at women shimmering in delight

going through lots,  still showing nothing but happy & contended  expressions.

He felt proud,

and her immense & unending devotion.

He graced her tons, and hugged her tight

wished her well, Saying:

'Long live ya woman!'

may each block you touch,

dance in delight

After 53 years of marriage (to the same woman) I have no doubts about the qualities that you have expressed. They can be as tough, as they are caring; as dominant as they are compliant, and I wouldn't be here writing , if mothers did not exist.

Wonderfully written. I often wonder at times why women from all walks of life don't get the credit they truly deserve for being exceptional wives, mothers, sisters, aunt's, and grandmothers within today's society. Their valuable contribution's to society as a whole are far greater than what words could truly depict or describe. I admiringly point out the importance and value of women in my own poetry.
