After 53 years of marriage (to the same woman) I have no doubts about the qualities that you have expressed. They can be as tough, as they are caring; as dominant as they are compliant, and I wouldn't be here writing , if mothers did not exist.
Your poem has expressed all this far more gracefully than me .

Saumya,
A well thought out write. Your words carry truths and ironies about women. Your verses are well balanced and carry your intentions smoothly. You put a finishing touch of light and strength with God's smiling approval. I enjoyed your poem and will share it with others.
Blessings,
Richie b.
Hugs to you for writing this one.
Every word is so true.
Sometimes we fall short of words to appreciate the contributions of a women. The way I am feeling right now to express mine.
You are a strong & a beautiful women, that's what i can say.
Thanks for sharing!
It's a talented piece that compounds the fact that the genders will forever be at odds and without proof that either is right or wrong, well done, good read.
This is awesome! One of the best poems of yours I've read so far! Awhile back, you did a multi-chapter piece that was more pragmatic about explaining the twists & turns of life, but this would seem to be a shorter, more lyrical way to say some of the same things you were explaining in the longer piece. In the longer piece, you're describing how it can go: "this is what happens & how it can be & what we can do." Here you poetically describe a woman gracefully negotiating the high & low tides of life, as if showing how this looks, to be doing it, after telling in the longer piece how it's done. The thing that makes this poem special is the way each woman who reads it will be thinking: "this must've been written for me!" That's how warm & inviting your tone is . . . making each woman feel special, rather than addressing women as a whole, this approach feels more personally & affectionately aimed at the reader. Love it! (I also love the way women are standing up & making their voices heard much more here in the USA . . . we will probably have many more female lawmakers (hundreds of new ones running) starting 2019! *smile* (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
Yes Yes and Yes, that is so true. Hail the woman who gives so much and is the reason for so much to exist and nurture.
What a beautiful piece you have written, so touching and poignant.
Well done dear.
this is beautiful and strong from the heart. reminds me of the Helen Reddy song 'I am Woman' containing the lines 'I am woman, hear me roar.' awesome write!
