An Adventurous Child...

An Adventurous Child...

A Poem by Saumya
"

'sometimes when we sit and remember our childhood memories, they teach us many minute but precious principles to deal with life...these are some of them i discovered:)

"
Since the time I was a child,
i loved to gaze at the stars in sky,
their glitter, their shine , their spark
and the light,
filled me with huge delight..
and i always wondered,
what  made them shine so bright?

Since the time I was a child,
i loved to see the butterflies
pink, white, green, blue,
and some with beautiful stripes..
and i always wondered,
what  made these creatures fly?

Since the time I was a child,
i loved to see the rainboin  sky
i always waited for the heavy rains,
so that i could see it back again...
those seven colors
left me completely mesmerized,
and i always wondered,
what  imparted it,
such
immense beauty in the sky...

Since the time I was a child,
i loved seeing  birds
fly high in the sky..
and like all others
wished too,
to fly in the sky
and  always wondered,
why humans too, cannot
at least skid in the sky?...

Since the time I was a child,
i have been loving
every second of my life,
i try understanding and enjoying
everything around and nearby
and no matter how harsh is my life,
i live it like an Adventurous child
fighting with harshness,
every moment in it i survive...

for if you live life as a child,
you'll never know
what are worries and strife,
as they indeed aren't anything else,
but ' happiness in the form of pains disguised'
and as you walk on these stairs of life,
you'll somewhere clearly know,
that' you are the one who can create
everything for you, by the only  attitude
you have towards life'
and that will tell you what's life...

No matter people judge you today
to be wrong or right,
'always remember, that's never a full stop,
but only a comma of life'
live life like an Adventurous child
for a child never knows
what are worries, anger, rejection, and pain
all they know,
is to sail through life
and dance merrily,
even in storms and heavy rains..

they never care,
what people say is wrong or right
they only do what they think is right...
and this is why
they are always filled with
 cheer and delight...

This is amazingly good. The repetition, the content and arrangement of your stanze. Indeed, if this world is like a child, we will bear no grudge, no malice, no struggling, no killing, no bad would be inherited in us, because is not a product of childhood. But you see, my very good friend, Saumya, its never like that, not always. The world has grown oid and full of evil. But doing the right at the right time no matter what stand against would always make us smile and once more we become like a child. An Advanturous Child. Thank you so much for this poem.

We seldom remember that others DO have their own things going on in life...powerful nostalgic piece, and shows the fragility of life xx

thank you poppy:)
A beautiful and hopeful poem. Would be a better world if we looked at the world with the eyes of a child. Great description led reader to good places and thoughts. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

thank you soo much Jacob:)
Wonderful! I used to watch the stars with my dad at night every now and again when he would take the dogs out. Either I would follow him outside or he would coax me out. We would bring the binoculars so we could see them better, along with a view of the stunning moon. I never used to watch butterflies, but yes to rainbows and birds flying overhead. I still look at birds when I see them, wishing I was able to be one of them and be airborne.

So true. Really loved the last stanza. I could totally relate to your poem. I also have done all these things as a child, and sometimes I do still.
Great write :)

you're most welcome :)
I think this poem is beautifully written, full of innocence; the child like wonder comes across very well. They say a child can see the truth through the dark: this poem proves it. Well done.

yes Bobbie i completely agree with your thoughts here:) thank you very much for your lovely words:).. read more
S...two impressions for this poem...and actually many of your poems. First, is that they seem very wordy to me. I wonder if you can communicate the ideas you want using far fewer words. Takes practice but I'd encourage you to try.

Second, is on a more personal note. Your work always tries valiantly to be inspirational in some way. I wonder if you feel successful, i.e. inspiring, doing this? Because when I read your work, I find it curious that I get the feeling it's hiding much more than it's revealing.

Take care and regards...bobc
