A writer is incomplete without the readers, so this is a short tribute to you all....
My dear readers, I'm grateful to you all, for being here...
Each time i write a poem, i earnestly wait, wait for your reviews, because, they tell me the depth, to which my poems are true..!
I never thought, that I'd write, but there's a story a story, behind it, full of insight, that makes one smile. which I'd like to share with y'all tonight...
When I was a kid of twelfth grade, it was the day, i think, third or fourth of May, I remember the day, I remember the date, it was the Moral Science class on 5th of May, My teacher told us to write something, on the topic, `When I'll bid Adieu` While others wrote one or two lines, I was there with four lines..! she checked everyone's writing, by her keen mind, and intense understanding.. And when she came to me, and read those four lines, the situation, i feel was truly divine! I know not what she saw in those lines, she came to me, and urged me, to complete that poem By May nine... the next day, i did it, and later, it got published in our first school magazine, for the first time..! Everyone who read, appreciated it a lot, and encouraged me to continue this great work of mine, In the coming time. but all that happened, was because of Her my lovely teacher that time, who fell in love with those four lines! yes, my dear readers, I'd really love to tell, that, if i write well today, its entire credit goes to her.!! Then i came here, and wrote more poems, and the result i think, y'all have in front of you!
My dear readers, i really cherish your presence, in reading and reviewing my writings, and i cordially thank you, and wish, that, in future, you will be even more supporting. if i am a poem, you are my words.! if i am a book, you are the pages.! So, i request you, to always be with me, in this race of chaste, as a book is empty, without pages, and a poem, useless, without words and phrases..!!
this is lovely truly lovely
I love the way you gave credit to your teacher.
I also did a similar story last week a true story in credit to my 5th grade teacher how odd that we write the same thing
well done
read my story if you like re my 5th grade teacher its all true
love your work keep writing

I wrote my first poem in 8 standard and it got published in school magazine of course it was in hindi, its really easier to find words to express the emotions in a language that you have not learnt but devoured.. Well i had read a lot books in library to understand the upper layer of this world as a kid. i had 3 teachers in hindi till class 10, after that, stream changed non medical..
And the thing is they(teacher) didn't care a s**t about my writing and me too didn't care about my writing, only thing a cared about at that time to impess my teacher and get numbers...... So i can't balme them... Its never to late, iam still a student, so i started to write as time passing hobby, i signed up for for writers cafe 8 days ago and now iam quite addicted...
Well nicely expressed emotion fellow writer , that made me recall my past..

You've joined a good platform for writing and sharing, and I'm sure you'll have a great time here, and learn a lot...Good luck😊
I like that phrase "emotional fellow writer"😊 Thankyou for such a lovely compliment *smiles*
I'm glad this piece refreshed you past happy memories!😊

Never thought of an empty page/book as chaste, but that's a perfect description. Your teacher was as excited to see someone go beyond the "minimum requirement" as she was to see the skill applied to the content. Lucky for us.....

I muchly appreciate your visit to this page, and the very special thoughts you've shared for this piece😊 it is often the great friends, and writers like you all who actually sense the emotions, and skills behind my words😊
Thankyou so much, for such a wonderful review, it indeed means a lot to me❤😊
Thank you for showing me the way to this poem, my friend, becuz it's nice to see the connection between this one & the other one I just reviewed, since it's "THE POEM" (from what I'm understanding) you're referring to in THIS poem! *smile*
It's so important to get an early review of your work that is encouraging. I remember my first college writing class, the teacher made me feel worthless & so I stopped writing for many years. I'm so glad you had the opposite experience in your younger life.
As for reviewing you, it's my pleasure. Your writing is good, but what makes it compelling is your THINKING & FEELING. You have unique ways of seeing the world & you inject so much of yourself into your poems, so we really get to know the essence of you, which is a very beautiful person (((HUGS)))
Having people around you, who really appreciate and love what you write is .. read more(smiling)
Having people around you, who really appreciate and love what you write is a blessing for sure😊 Honestly, if I didn't had the people who liked, loved and appreciated What I wrote, I wouldn't certainly have been here☺.
The teacher I had been telling bout in this write-up had been the one who hated me initially, for the free, careless and jolly person I was...But it was since the day I wrote this write-up (When I'll bid adieu) she and many people who used to dislike me initially, were at least curious bout what I wrote, and used to read and smile secretly...And that I guess was enough for me to understand that they liked my write-up 😊 what else could I wish for? It is both the haters and those who liked how and what I write, and the lessons and inspiration, and the encouragement I got from people that makes me write today. One thing that I've learned from people is "never stop loving yourself band have faith in all you do, because everybody's good days come"😊
I don't know if I write well, or I am a good writer or not, but one thing that I really love is pages and pen are the best friends one can never regret having , and you can pour out your heart with these two, without even hearing them complain bout how much they suffer etc. And the kind of patience they have is immense 😊I write what I feel...My words, I wonder where they come from...And I make sure that it is more honest and original than being flowery and fancy.
As for people, we can be a good person, but not everyone can see that goodness, and that's okay😊
A writer writes what he/she feels, and the right people will always applaud and appreciate it...Those who don't certainly need to increase their emotional level, because Writing is more bout emotions and the words matter less. Even the simple words sometimes leave an intense impact on a readers heart and soul, that mere complicated words don't... Everyone is different, and so are the writings..Beauty lies in the eyes of the readers 😊 just because they think, we aren't upto the mark, it doesn't always mean that they are right. Honest people, who can actually help us improve are good, but those who are only there to discourage people shouldn't matter. We write for ourselves and for those who love what we write, if they don't admire it...No prob😊
Ignorance is a bliss sometimes 😉
I'm glad that you like reading and reviewing my writing...It's the sweetest thing I heard today, thankyou dear Margie 😊
Yes, I agree, I'm different from people, and many don't like me for what I write or how I see, observe and write...But no regrets 😊
Everyone is different from each other and so am I😊😎
I'm happy that you're one of those people who find me a beautiful person by what I write and inject in my pieces...That truly was wonderful to know...Thankyou so much!😇😊

Your enthusiasm is contagious, too! *wink! wink!* (((HUGS)))
As one of your readers, I now feel quite special, Saumya … thank you immensely!
How insightful of your teacher to spot your potential skills as a poet in your four line verse, and to encourage you by posting it in the school's magazine for all to see, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sincerity in how your heart spoke to your readers in this piece.
I realize this is one of your earlier posts on here, but in reading it, there is much in poetical voice, form, word arrangement, punctuation, and presentation, etc; you will need to learn and practice before your skills as an accomplished poetess will be developed.
I think it would have been appropriate to post your four lines that you proudly speak of, that we can share and enjoy them, too.
I gave this a 70 for exuberance and sincerity, and deducted for the reasons stated.
I think I see that same bright potential your twelfth grade teacher did, Saumya … big smiles to you! ⁓ Richard

Your teacher was a special person.....and I am so pleased she asked you all to write that day. Otherwise you might never have persued your talent.
"if i am a poem, you are my words.!
if i am a book, you are the pages.!"
What a wonderful concept! You are an observer of life and that is why your poetry is so interesting.
Thank you for sharing your story and for the tribute. Lydi**

saumya
you have so much meaning in your words.
Is sweet how this one goes out to all your readers.
I give you much respect for that.
I don't really like it much only because it doesn't really sound like a poem, and i prefer poems that rhyme more.
Although as for if i look at it like a story i do like it.
Great write though thank you for sharing.
Keep writing :)
