Fade...to just fade away

Fade...to just fade away

A Poem by saudade

Peace, she searched for
Devastation she found
Set upon her lips, a smile
Laughter struggling out
Fade, she prays, to just fade away

Speaking for nobody too listen
Crying, yet no one can hear
Grasping, relief shall never come
Her eyes playing the pain, for nobody to see
Fade, she prays, to just fade away

Through the hours, she stumbles
Upon the falsely whispered hopes
Searching for the light she carried
Within the consuming darkness she's lost
Fade, she prays, to just fade away

Carrying the weight of the world
All believed couldn't break her
This heart she carries within her
Far too shattered to carry forward
Fade she prays, to just fade away

Fade she prays....please let me fade away....
