Choice

Choice

A Poem by

It wasn't my choice.
I took every second with praise.
I stood strong in my place,
while shattered glass flew my way.

My emotions, scratched.
Everything a horrific hurricane.
Sucking my soul into,
it's disastrous whirlwind.

It wasn't my choice.
I played it fate's way.
Leaving no marks behind,
freedom drained.

It took me eras,
a couple of lifetimes.
Our chances like lightning,
one strike, two strikes, game over.

It wasn't my choice.
I'll be thinking of you tonight,
of destiny that pulled us together,
and fate that tore our hearts apart.

It wasn't my choice..

Twinkle, you did an amazing job with this one. While shattered glass flew my way it became a disastrous whirlwind. My freedom was drained and before I knew it, we were over. Destiny, fate............who knows? Sometimes it seems we have no choice.

A amazing poem. The poem flow and story was outstanding.

Options and choices can leave us wishing for a better ending sometime. Thank you for a excellent poem.
