Sad Goodbye

By Toshita

My heart aches everyday

Because I know that painful day is coming.

The day when we have to part

Will be so painful that it will break my heart.

I long to see you,

Feel your warmth.

Because once you are gone, who will be there?

To make me happy?

To cheer me up when I'm angry?

The time is coming closer

And my heart is screaming for more...

For more time...

We hear the ringing of the chimes

And know that the day and hour has come.

We hug and my heart beats like a drum.

As you walk away, you look back and smile.

I smile back and know that over is this painful trial.

For no matter where you go,

I understand the truth.

I am yours and you are mine.

There's quite a bit of emotions within your words. I like that very much. You have a lot of talent as it was an easy read.. the words were picked very well. Thank you for sharing..and keep writing! I want to read more from you!

It's a very good poem, it's full of emotion and kind of raw (like you wrote it in the heat of the moment). Great job! Keep it up! :)
