Greek Thoughts

Greek Thoughts

A Poem by Satish Verma
"

Greek Thoughts

"
Season's intimacy
starts schooling you. The voice
halts the bloodshed.

From bone to bone.
Love is halved, flesh here
and there. No bargains.

Let me touch your
sprinkling glass, before you move
a step to sip hemlock.

each one of your stanzas here are haiku worthy. It's probably the best poem i've read in here thus far. It almost made me curious enough to prevail you upon discussing your choices further.
In any case, I love the ambivalence offered between the deadly, sprinkled with qualificative cheers, almost to hold suspens (it worked!). There is something of a question in if a source of comfort is *found* within the act introduced (for what you referenced, there was one). Very curious.
