Coding An Ocean

A Poem by Satish Verma
"

You fault me for a silent poem.

"
You fault me for
a silent poem.
In infinity of this moment.
I catch the miracle
of unspoken words.

Let me not forget
the way you look at
me via tears.

Why buttercups were
poisonous, untasting you?
Even a simile touch
brings a shudder in leaves.

Give me a kiss of parting,
only you can give. For
ages I will remember the sting.

It kinda gets lost in itself in that third stanza. Writing is entirely dependent on the audience after all. If this has a significant personal reference to you then that is all that really matters, but as a reader I got lost there. Overall I get a message of a person who is more connected to their lover than the lover is to them. Perhaps a one night stand, somebody feeling taken advantage of after a first date.
