Remembering Pythagoras

A Poem by Satish Verma

"
Trying to learn from
you, to stay alive like a
trembling candle in wind.

Cut flowers in the vase,
white lilies. Turn blue―
when your smile fades.

The twists and circles.
My search had ended in you.
Why you need to go?

I do not want to
measure this moment. Time pie
stops and look at me.

Some questions have
no answers. Some questions don't
rise. Some questions die.

Wow. I like your imagery, with the lilies turning blue. I didn't understand what you meant by "Time pie." It sounds so sad, overall. I'm sorry to read these emotions, but I'm glad you shared them.
