Chapter 07A Chapter by SarahIt’s been three hours since I’ve seen her, and it’s
beginning to worry me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually glad that she’s getting
into trouble for once, well it’s more like getting court, but that’s beside the
point. There are rumours spreading around that Black Rose will get the penalty,
but I’m not too sure on that fact. To me, she’s actually going to get suspended
from using her abilities rather than the penalty. However, I could tell by all
the faces that whatever she’s going to get, it’s going to be something awful in
her eyes, and when I think about it, in mine as well. We’re partners, so what
she gets, I get too apparently.
It’s now eleven in the morning, and already the sun is
shining down on us, giving us her rays. Everyone is starting to feel it too,
whether it’s they’re mere seconds from a heat stroke to massive anger outburst
for no particular reason. It’s affecting everyone, everyone but Jett that is.
He’s just sitting outside under a tree, doing something involving meditation or
something. I decide to watch him, since I’m not doing anything in particular.
His bracelet glows gold, as it shines making everyone
squint. He starts to makes this spiral pattern in thin air, I didn’t know what
it was at first, but soon enough it was visible to everyone’s eyes. It was the
symbol of the 21, a spiral pattern that’s extremely hard to explain. It’s like
a circle that has a spiral in the centre, and on top of that it has this star
like shape. After Jett was done making it, he held it in his hands, and clapped
them together. Moving them apart slowly, he created something that only the Elites
can do, he created a sword with thin air!
I ran outside, along with Shadow, Andy and Raj who were also
watching that scene. He opened his eyes and frowned, inspecting the sword in
his hands. I waved, “Jett! How’d you do that?!” He looked up, winking, “That’s a secret, mate! I taught
myself!” He looked at it again, “However, some things need to be changed with
it…” Really? I look at the sword, “It looks fine to me.” His eyes moved to my face, “To you. A lot of work need to be done if ya want an actual sword,
mate.” Shadow sighed, “Really, Jett? I don’t see anything wrong
with it…” “Yeah! Dude, it looks awesome!” Andy states. Raj strokes his chin, “Is it the steal quality?” He nods, “Yeah, mate. It isn’t strong enough.” He sighed, “I
wish I knew how to o that though, it’s frustrating.” Frustrating? “Aren’t you one of the elites?” I raised a
brow, “So, couldn’t you do it?” He waved, “Ah, it’s a lot harder than ya think, mate. Not
with the air thing ya gotta do, then the fact that you also have to make the
steal while making the shape of the sword…” “Oh…”
The art of sword making is a tough job when you have the
ability, especially for me. When you have fire, you tend to melt the metal as
it’s handed to you. It’s not my fault though; people annoy me so I tend to
bring the inner fire out of me. Anyway, after the person has the pattern they
have to gather some air from around them and start forming the sword from their
minds. Only the Elites can do this though, which doesn’t make any sense.
The Elites are the most powerful people across the world.
You know how there’s seven continents on Earth, well in each one of them is a
person of 21, however the one person is extremely powerful. In their past
years, they already mastered all the training that beginners up to immediate
have mastered; I’m an immediate in training. Once they are discovered, they
don’t train in the training grounds that often, instead going to remote places
and train there. From what Jett tells us, they take him from Antarctica to the
Safari Desert in Africa, with some sever rules. Apparently, they aren’t allowed
to use any weapons, only their abilities, and they only get the one trainer for
the two weeks. During those two weeks, they train to their limits, and if they
get it wrong, they have to do it all over again until they get it right. The
only people I know that are in the Elites are Jett and Black Rose.
That would explain how she’s really good when it comes to
using to her abilities and stuff like that. She’s always silent, as I said
before, but sometimes you don’t see it coming. Like today, I wasn’t expecting
her to make a fire ball. Yet somehow, it actually made a little sense in why
she did that, even though it was against the rules in training. Even though
she’s gets into trouble now.
In the corner of my eye, I spot her walking back into the
building with the people that blew her up. She notices my eye, and she glares,
before getting shoved into the door. Andy speaks up, “She’s not in the mood for
fooling around, dudes.” I sigh, “I think it’s my entire fault.” “Ya think?” “Okay, okay! It was my fault! Somehow…” I slump down under
the tree, “Great, I have a partner that’ll be furious at me for not bailing me
out. Stupid!” Shadow set herself next to me, sighing, “It’s not that bad
than you think.” “Oh?” “Yes, she may be…mysterious, let say that, at times, but she
knows what she is talking about.” I stare at her, confused, “She does?” She nods, and I smile
sarcastically, “Yeah, sure she does.”
I roll my eyes, “Not…” “Mate, she actually does…” Jett explains, “When we were
training in the Artic, I was stuck in some kind of hole.” He held out a finger,
“Before you question, that was because I wasn’t paying attention!” He laughed,
shaking his head, “Anyway, I was stuck. She came along and told me to use wind
to break the hole into a larger one in the ice. I did it, and was free!
Although, my leg was frozen…” “Your leg was frozen?” Raj seemed very surprised. He nodded, “Oh yeah, it was! I had to use heat shock to get
it back to normal.” “Oh, that doesn’t surprise me…” He turns towards me, “What
are you going to do if she tries and kills you?” I shrug, “Take it as it comes I suppose…”
It’s now one in the afternoon, but I’m a little concerned
for my future. Black Rose came out five minutes ago, but she’s not in the mood
to talk to anyone, like she already does that. I heard from some people that
she got suspended from using her abilities but others say that she isn’t
allowed to train for the rest of the week. If it were me, I wouldn’t be sad if
I couldn’t train, I’ll actually be relaxing my days away. However, by the look
on her face, it seems that people have missed something.
