Waterfall Sonnet 02112014A Poem by Sargon DorsaiA waterfall SonnetThe sound of rushing water caught his ear Beckoning him deeper into the brush Through the branches the water did appear Cascading down the hillside in a rush Dark crystal depths a welcoming embrace For weary trav’ler, sweat upon his brow Natural refreshment in this place Revitalizing in the here and now Nature’s secret, untouched by mortal hands A gift ungiven, waiting to be shared Where worries and sorrows sink into sands Washed away to be renewed and repaired Let the troubles go, swim and flow away Immerse oneself in frolic and in play
