Sonnet 01022012A Poem by Sargon DorsaiOne of the sonnets I wrote during a month of sonnet writing. The shifting ceiling, from grey into blue A world of emotions, darkness to light Piercing from heaven, the sun breaking through Bathing the land in shafts that dance so bright. Illuminating that which hid away Lost amidst the shadows, lost and afraid Beckoned onwards, into the sun to play Upon the playground which nature has made. The time passes on and blue starts to dim Fingers of flame stretching their rosy glow Escaping from sight the sun goes to swim A dusted drape cross the ceiling does grow. Winking from above, the lesser lights gleam And all those below are starting to dream.
