The Bright Lady

The Bright Lady

A Poem by Sargon Dorsai
"

Sonnet about The Bright Lady

"
Wispy veils of grey draping upon her
Tantalizingly shifting as she glides
Smoldering gaze that is never demure
Til behind a velvet curtain she hides.
A jealous sister bathing in her light
Bright disposition, smiling all the same
Sharing that which she has without a fight
For moods that change, her sister is to blame.
Ev'ry day she travels across the land
Bestowing her bounty without a fear
Giving, ever giving, makes no demand
Her path meandering throughout the year.
Shine on, sweet lady, and sing from the heart
For another day is about to start.
