Blind Man's Burden

Blind Man's Burden

A Poem by C.J.Rohl

I look in the mirror and what do I see

A Blind man starring back at me

With his crooked face and his crooked eyes

Seeing reality in your crooked lies

I follow my blind man

For he knows the truth

While you fear the blind man

With his hangman's noose

For the truth shines light on your darkest fears

Frightening reminders of past shed tears

Yet I still follow my blind man

Yearning for truth

As I watch you sway

From his hangman's noose
