Dig ItA Poem by saratogapartyAnd the years are strong enough To burn my weight. Counting off the Emotions and the people as they pass Through me like a shiv
Because I used to live for the moments That you would call me drunk and tell Me stories of how you used to live And how you’ll always be around to Make me laugh on the days my lungs were Cumbersome and sorry.
There are some things about me people Probably just shouldn’t know. If you stick around long enough, you’ll probably Figure most of them out yourself. Some people can dig it, I guess some people Just can’t. And that’s alright. I mean, I’m alright Just in case you were wondering
I mean you might’ve been wondering That’s all. I deserve that much, I think. A moment of your mind.
But now I’m just jumping From story to story Stranger to stranger and they say
“Hold up, hold up, I’m trying to flirt with You I’m not trying to Know you.”
And that was their biggest mistake. © 2013 saratogapartyReviews
