Elsewhere

Elsewhere

A Poem by saratogaparty

Just roaming around conversation after

Conversation. Only stopping when someone

Tells you something that you don’t

Already know.

And maybe even changes the

Tinted windows of your perspective

Challenging your thoughts to a

Duel without spitting in your face to get your

Undivided attention.

“No, but that’s not me,” I said to the

Prodding finger, to the threatening anger in your voice.

I’m going to make you

Think.

I’m going to make you

Feel it.

I’m going to make you

Be it.

And I’m going to make you

Hate it.

And I’ll send you on your way,

Point you in the direction of

Elsewhere, put my feet up

And breathe in.

This is good. Direct and assertive. I enjoyed the read. Thank you.
