Aren't You the Least Bit Curious

Aren't You the Least Bit Curious

A Poem by saratogaparty

“Aren’t you the least bit curious"” You asked to my empty
Voicemail that is swept just as easily as the
Dirt trickles in.
“Aren’t you the least bit curious of how I’ve been
holding up these simple endless days?”

And to myself I shrugged and said
“Of course.
But my imagination probably does
wonders for you anyway. All of my insecurities know how to
play the game in
your favor.”

And I shut down my phone
for the night
Which I never do,

And felt the nothingness
Lingering around me:
Amazed at just how loud the silence
Can scream.

And how simple sleep can be
When there isn’t a ghost humming
Your favorite song in the
Bedroom closet of my
Mind.

Wow, thank you so much! It holds years of history in it.
Cell phone based poetry, know that's a hang up i could listen to all night long.!.muses are great, i wonder what which minutes are used up more, the inspiration or the phone bill?, love, love, love it!
