I am from the lines in the waters
From Maverick boats
I am from heavy bikes
(old, rusty, smelling
of collected dust)
I am from the grass and
The giant pollen filled bush
swarmed with black and yellow death
I'm from popsicles and tree swings
From Bob and Judy
I'm from the guitars
And wrapping paper
From "buckle up for safety"
and "dont jump on the couch"
I'm domain Shawn and Suzy
The scents of new tires and smoke
I'm from sunny skies
Homemade burgers and oven baked chicken
From the sounds of RC cars crashing
And frantic fixing and building followed
Deep inside the forgotten closet
Filled with useless junk
A flicker of handwriting on white pages
Float to the top
Of the bottomless pit
