CHILDHOOD

CHILDHOOD

A Poem by Saran Sharavan
"

Recalling the past days of childhood.

"

Will you not come again?

The days of my sweet dreams

Will you not come again?

    The days of my innocence

Will you not come again?

    The days I must question

Will you not come again?

    The days of blind joys

Will you not come again?

    The days of immaturity

Will you not come again?

    The days of irresponsibility

Will you not come again?

    The days without hatred

Will you not come again?

    The days of precious learning

Will you not come again?

    The days of bicycles

Will you not come again?

The days of illiterate mother’s song

Will you come again?

At least after the day of my end.

This is such a short poem but I love it so much! The repetition was great! It really brought out the longing you have for childhood. I really loved it!
