Silent Shades

Silent Shades

A Poem by Sarah Jane Edinger

 VERSE 1

Too tired;
The sickening hue.
Can't recall your beauty;
Can't see through.

The end is now!
I must declare.
Just not worth
my eyes that stare.
(my heart that cares)

Don't hold back
with words left unspoken;
How far is heaven?
I ask you how;
Our hope has been broken....

CHORUS:
Fix me now    I have no cover
Fix me now   Truth take over.
Fix me now   Show me your color.

  Silent shades of you

VERSE 2
I picked you a flower;
now it's faded.
You held my heart
and now it's jaded.

Too many lies
to blind our eyes.
(Darkness just gets deeper)
Can't see the stars
below the clouds.
(Never a believer)

Don't hold back
with words unspoken;
How far is heaven?
Tell me now
that my hope is broken....

CHORUS

Step out of the shadow.
Step into the view.
(Step into the light)
Recall your beauty.
Let me see through.
(Make your colors bright)

Oh no! Don't hold back
Don't Leave me broken

There is no heaven

When the colors of your truth aren't spoken..
