Sick Twist

Sick Twist

A Poem by Jamie Taylor

I was lonely

Just a naïve little girl

Then, I met a boy

And he changed my world

He treated me

Like no one had before

That’s when everything

Fell and hit the floor

Every word he spoke

Ended up a lie

When I found out

I just wanted to die

I found a blade

Thought, “Who’s it going to harm?”

I wish I could have stopped myself

Before it touched my arm

Put the razor to my wrist

To feel the pain

This is the only thing

That keeps me sane

Tears of dark red

Crying from my wrist

This is just another sick love story

With a sick twist
