Memories

A Poem by Sarah Lynn

Memories, Memories fill this house.
These walls hold a billion secrets.
Telling stories..the longest stories ever told.
Longer than any book Ive ever read.
These walls talk.
Haunting..
Sharing..
Taunting..
Reminding.
Reminding me of all the memories that reside here.
Driving me crazy, every time I step foot in here.
Yet, I always come back.
I just keep coming back.. torturing myself.
And for what reason?
Poison.
This house is poison but, I'm in love with it.
These memories make me feel.
A scar that you just keep reopening.
Just to remember, just to feel...
I could go on forever..
