That One Person

That One Person

A Poem by Sarah Lynn
"

Someone will be sure to understand this , that i am sure of

"
Is it bad that you still never leave my mind?
That I still think about you all the time
That I still cherish the moments that we used to have
My heart feels heavy as though it is sad.
Even though i'm happy now and wouldn't change a thing
You're all i seem to think about sometimes and it really makes me think.
'Ive never had such a hard time getting over someone
Its like all our good times were just a waste
Ya know what i'm just going to stop this poem ahead of time
I don't even know what i'm saying ...

I know what you are saying, and I've been there too. I think sometimes it's okay to entertain the memories, because even if it went bad there were still good times. We just have to remember that what we are missing is not that person really, but the memories we had. What we are missing is how those memories made us feel and the people that we were then. I think you portrayed that feeling well. Great job!
