Chapter 3- The Outcome or What's Left of MeA Poem by The Adventure31 March 2010The best thing about a heartache Is you know that you're alive. But, though your heart's still beating, It's hard to just survive. Sometimes the pain's unbearable, The wounds would feign to heal; The blood continues pouring, The nightmare's all too real. Your heart is beating out your chest, Though you haven't moved or budged. You feel as though you're being pressed, And your mind is being judged. Needles prick at your every thought, Creating an overbearing obstruction. You're afraid that you have finally been caught In this web of pleasure and destruction. My head is clearing now, Through a dazed and dizzy state, But the pain continues to sound And my heart is losing pace. It's cracking and falling, And I am doing so too. So my heart and I are leaving; Alone and lonely, leaving soon. © 2011 The Adventure |
