That nightA Poem by Sarah kizziathis is inspired by the first night I tried to kill myself
She doesn’t see her beauty
All she sees is her scares
Covering her body
Baring her face in her pain
They ask her how she feels
After all the pills
She fakes her smiles
Says she’s fine
Then goes and cries
That night
She remembers all to well
The way she cried
The way she wanted to die
Scars are everywhere
Behind her smile you’d never know
The pain she feels everyday
No one knew for the longest time
She hid it all too well
Till she couldn’t take it anymore
A hand full of pills
A bottle of whiskey
She lay down
Closed her eyes
Took a deep breath
Whispered goodbye
That’s when she walked in
Saw her laying there
Saw the dropped pills
The half empty bottle
The little girl screamed
Next thing she knew
She woke up in white room
She looked around
Saw her sitting there
Tear stains on her cheeks
All she could think
What have I done
I hurt the only one
I love
