Leaving

Leaving

A Poem by sarahkatherine
"

"

Walking down the cold sidewalks,

As snowflakes fall into my hair.

I'm leaving.

I won't take it anymore.

I won't let you break me down.

I'm allready pretty far down.

Will you miss me at Christmas?

When you look around at the lonely tree?

Will you miss me at all.

I've said it before.

That I won't take this.

But I've never left.

But now I'm going.

And I'll keep walking until it's too far to turn back.

This time I'm gone for good.

To the point and earnest. I enjoyed the natural flow of this write, although the conclusion/ ending was a sa one.

This poem conveys heartfelt feeling in concise, straightforward language. I like the line about the "lonely tree"; it seems to really refer to the narrator. The last two lines capture the feeling of wanting to make sure you really leave this time. Nice work!
