Daddy's Little Girl [Not..]A Poem by sarahkatherineI wrote this about my Dad, who hurts me way too often.I remember when I was so small, And my Daddy stood there, strong and tall. Those days are gone, so far away. Because of what you dare to say.
A Dad should be open and free, Not hurting, or insulting me. What bugs me most, makes me mad; Is you've never really been a Dad.
Instead, the only thing at home, Is a man so rude, never known. I wish I had my father here, To make me smile, and stop the tears.
When I meet the man, who treats me right. We'll plan a wedding, start a life. And I'll have to fake that anxious smile, When I walk myself down the aisle.
When I grow up, my kids will ask, "Where is Grandpa, Where's your Dad?" I'll have to lie, and shake my head. Say to them sadly, "To me, he's dead."
It's too late for you, there's just no hope. So go drink your beer, and smoke your dope. And watch the women, decide who's hotter. But guess what sir, you lost your daughter.
