Contents of Mother’s Purse

Roses. Light pink roses

on sturdy, thornless stems

against a gray background. (blank)

In script: I’m Sorry.

A mountain scene

with glaciers buffering

pierceable sky from    (blank)

angular peaks.

An icing covered cat

with cartoon eyes.

“I made you a cake, (‘Sorry’)

but I eated it.”

Shiny black words embossed

in matte black: condolences,

like this, sorrow, be    (blank)

there for you, tomorrow.

A dove perched on a branch

made of a skewed P, a stretched Dear Son,

E, an elongated A, an angular C, You were the best

a lopsided E. part of me. Live on.

Is it clear by the end what the stanzas are describing? Also, general thoughts and interpretations would be appreciated!
