Palestine

Palestine

A Poem by Sarah Al Janabi
"

In honour of Palestinians

"
I stand on this pile of rubble
Once called my home
Enclosed in this giant bubble
Feeling alone

They took away my future
They destroyed my past
But whatever the rumors
We will forever last

Palestine,
My once peaceful vicinity
Now overtaken by cruelty
Locked in a prison of pain
Screams, tears, all in vain.

They think they've won
They think they're strong
Do they realise
How much they're wrong

We stand as one
With a voice of truth
Singing all night long
Yes we are strong

I stare at those fallen bodies
Once called my friends
This seems to go on for centuries
When will it end?

We stand and fight for freedom
With only words as weapons
Oh dear world please hear us
We really need some help
