The Beginning of the endA Poem by Sarah Al JanabiOne of my first poems
When the wind whispers the secrets of the night
And the moon reveals the mysteries we hide A tale to be told by toddlers who see The truth that we're too blind to perceive. Hear those leaves murmur in dark Run around those huge tree barks Free to flow and be themselves Ignoring the calls of infinite help Blossoms blooming ever so silently While petals end up crashing loudly Fallen beauty scares us all Shrivelled up, dry and lost Should we pick it up Will it crumble at our touch Should we let it be Will it simply disappear The blue moon pours down its tears Showering you with unknown fear Shattering the silence in your heart That cold shrill flowing in your blood Between the cracks the sun may shine Should it happen it shall take time Faith kept bright by a flame of hope Extinguish the pain with a pinch of joy. Bare branches now hang down low Reaching for that soil they so well know Returning to where their first steps began Seeping back slowly to the early land © 2014 Sarah Al JanabiAuthor's Note
