May Madness

This chapter discusses another one of our rough patches.

Things got a little bit rocky shortly after the beginning of May. I proved my tendency to be impatient once again and made another attempt to get the two of us back to our previous "couple" status. In so many words, I basically told him that I didn't understand why we couldn't just try to be together and that I also didn't understand how things had changed so much from the previous year. He responded by pointing out that we were trying and that things had changed when he "got bored." However, he still couldn't seem to tell me exactly when it was--or why it was--that he had grown so "bored" with our relationship.

 

We continued talking--thank goodness--and even started doing more stuff together. We made several trips to the lake with family and friends and had dinner multiple times with family. On a few occasions, we dined and went to the movies as a pair. The whole time, I just kept trying my hardest to remind him of the amazing miracle that our relationship had been and continued to pray that someday, he would no longer find it boring the way that he never had back then.
