someone

someone

A Poem by sarah

I want to be somebody

but nobodies inside of me

i hate these characters i play for everyone

its hard to show my self

not knowing what they'll say

or what they'll think

different mask each day for different people

not knowing which one is me

not knowing which one i will be

to scared to find the truth

behind these masks is empty-ness

empty-ness of somebody that is inside of me trying to escape

these masks and become someone.

So powerful, our need to find ourself and our desire to be wanted so much that we put on masks... This was my story for years... Excellent write!

That's a very good poem. You expressed something that many of us can relate to. Those older may remember when we went through this phase of life. Those younger may be facing the same thing now. I thought you expressed yourself very well.
