UnderworldA Poem by summer-breeze35Magical forest and faraway placesId always wanted to take a trip to the underworld so deep To catch the wonders of little folk, their secrets for to keep The chance came my way, one fine day, a good few years ago I took a train to avoid the torrential wintery weather of snow The wind was blowing a gale and i were in two minds wether to go But the pulling force inside me told me to go with the flow Upon arrival of the magical door, the door to mysterious things I noticed a tiny bell that i knew i had to ring A wee old chap on the other side of the door reached out his hand Spindly fingers seeked my human form, to reach my sacred land 'My name is Puck', he said with a grin, or a grimace, im not sure which Which way to take the questionable look on this humanoid like Witch. But i wasnt afraid of the little imp, im fearless through and through SoI carried on to follow him unto the underground like ditch On arrival i noticed treasures galore, crammed inside a room A tiny room of wonder, of awe and flowery blooms But what was the purpose i asked myself, my answer went astray As i knew if i thought long and hard the magic would go away So i relaxed and just went with the flow, the flow of my destiny My mind was this way and that, it followed the rest of me Which took me to the place in my mind that i so longed to be The little man had surely shown my true way or destiny So i said a prayer to who knows where, and hoped that id get a reply One fine summers' day, eons away, where the spirit of goblins fly... © 2017 summer-breeze35Author's Note
