Eclipse

Eclipse

A Poem by Sarah S.
"

A poem I wrote after seeing the lunar eclipse recently.

"

There is something mysterious

In the shadow of the moon
Framed by snowy trees,
A winter landscape
In a cloudless sky

Behind its darkening veil
The moon is a pure white,
Flawless crescent

I am torn between the site of it
And the site of your eyes

There is something mysterious
In the way you take my hand
Shadows fall behind us,
Your face is lit by the light of the moon

I feel like we could follow the moon’s beams
Until ever slowly,
The pale white disappears
And in the darkness

We’re left perfectly alone

Wow, awesome imagery! It was very intense, it sucked me right in. I liked the last two lines especially, they have a "huh...how about that?" kind of feel. Normally I don't do poetry, and I don't know anything about it but I liked how your flows, its easy/fun to read but still has substance.
