The Box

The Box

A Poem by Isabelle Grace
"

i literally wrote this when i should've been doing my bio homework. Hope you like it.

"

You’re what’s held me back. What I’ve been meaning to write.

The one that’s been on the tip of my tongue, strangling my soul, pushing me down at every attempt to write.

Your green eyes captured me, into a box where I can’t breathe. I scream but you can’t hear behind the thick glass that’s now between us.

And all I can do is drown in you.
