Shakspearean Sonnet

Shakspearean Sonnet

A Poem by WaitingOnTheStars

What is this spell you have bewitched me with

To keep longing for you day after day

Show me true love is real and not a myth

From you my darling I would never stray

Eyes that hold me prisoner in them

They captured me with their endless beauty

Pulling me in like a bright shining gem

Though eyes bind my chains, your heart holds the key

Your voice is the poison to the apple

Addicted I am, so have it I must

The craving continues, an ongoing battle

Crazy? Maybe.  I can always adjust

This I now see is how sweet love affects

Carrying with it devilish effects.
