A Chapter by Sara

Kimberly stared out of the window as the bus drove past her stop.

She wanted to scream and yell at James but something was stopping her. She frowned as she walked off the bus and walked toward James’ house.

So what if James hadn’t told her about Heather and David, it probably meant he was tired of her accusations.

Kimberly knocked on James’ door.

“Kimberly, I was just about to call you.” James said with a serious looking frown.

“Is there something wrong?” Kimberly asked stepping into his house and shedding her jacket.

“Come on,” James said pulling Kimberly onto the couch with him. “I think we should talk.”

“Yeah, I know. I’ve been a total b***h.” Kimberly said shaking her head. “I’ve  been saying that you're cheating on me this whole time. We’ve barley spoken since Thursday.”

“Yeah. That’s what I want to talk to you about.” James said steadying himself as a heavy silence over took them.

“No, wait.” Kimberly sighed suddenly. “I should probably apologize first.”

James nodded his slowly a little confused and let Kimberly continue.

“I need to say sorry. For not just being a b***h but for being so suspicious. I mean you should of just told me about David and Heather. I knew there was something up, you could of told me they were an item.” Kimberly punching James on the arm.

“What are you talking about?” James said tilting his head. His face, Kimberly noticed, had become unreadable again. She took this as a sign that he was lying and she rolled her eyes.

“You don’t have to cover for them. I just came from David’s house, and I saw them together.” Kimberly said with a smile.

“Your saying that David and Heather were together? Together how?” James said looking away from Kimberly his jaw was flexing as he grinded his teeth together.

“James, they were pretty hot and bothered when I interrupted them. I mean I guess I can see why Heather doesn’t want everyone to know about her and David…” Kimberly trailed off noticing that James looked angry.

“Did I do something I wasn’t supposed?” Kimberly asked frowning. James shook his head and turned back to Kimberly with his charming smile.

“No Kimmie you were perfect.” He smiled as he leaned in and kissed her.

“I’m just going to check if you ruined their date.” James said stepping out of the room with his phone.

Now that Kimberly was alone, she began to feel like there was still something James wasn’t telling her. This time she resisted her instinct, she’d made more trouble then it was worth by being suspicious.
