Closure

Closure

A Poem by Saptaparna
"

I write in free verses, this poem was meant to console me from a situation where I didn't get any sort of closure and it made me realize that no closure was also some sort of a closure, hence:

"
i wrote oceans of analogies
in pain and desperation

i wrote eulogies in my cheeks
as my tears washed them clean periodically

i waited sleepless nights
in anticipation, to speak with you

when you tore my heart out with your empty words
i realized, you didn't need to hear any of this

any of my analogies
any of my stories

you weren't in need of my affection
i wore my heart in my sleeves for the wrong person

and you will never know
you will never hear from me

i will still write, but for me
no longer for you

no need for apologies
i too write free verse
i use lower case 99% titles might be caps most times not
it how i communicate with myself ... in calming lower case

this is a most powerful write ...
oceans of analogies
eulogies in my cheeks

powerful powerful powerful visual imagery ...

and yes i know well i am left of center
but i saw these words in visual context
not often do i find this opportunity

welcome to these pages that are now your venue!
