You know I knew Judith Jamison, She was one of my teachers when i was in Alvin Ailey School of Dance,and trust me me it was ages ago for me way back when.Every morning her and Mr. Alvin would see me standing in the window every morning drinking decaf coffee and a donut. I will never regret becoming a alvin ailey dancer with which I am an  ex-alvin aley dancer.It was a dream a dream come true.But anyways,this little snippet of a memoir is an a woman that instilled that direction in me.

 

By teaching me to be a virtuous woman to an extent.She also herself joined Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in 1965 and quickly became an International Star. For 15 years Mr. Ailey created most of her enduring roles.During,the 70's and 8o's she appeared as a quest artist with ballet companies all over the world,including the hit broadway musical"Sophisticated Ladies".In the 21 years that followed.She brought thecompany to unprecedented heights-Including two historic engagements in South Africa and a 50-city globe tour to celebrate the company's 5oth anniversary.

 

Ms. Jamison is the recepient of numerous awards and honors, among them a prime time Emmy award, an American Choreography award,The Kennedy honor,A National Metal Arts.An Array of other awards. She is also listed in "The Time 100:The World's Most Influential People".Plus honored bt first lady Michelle Obama at the first White House Dance Series event. Ms. Jamison continues to dedicate herself to asserting the prominence of the arts in our culture, She even remains committed to promoting as a medium for honoring the past,celebrating the present,and fearlessly reaching into the future.This has been my take on Ms. Judith Jamison I've always reached for the stars.Thank you Ms. Jamison for your guidance and wisdom.
