duckling dreams: a haiku

duckling dreams: a haiku

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz
"

i have to giggle a little

"
dare i to touch her?
my webbed feet in silent plea,
beg her... to love me.

I have to tell you, the title alone forced me fight back an awww and I'm not the kind of person who says that...but still I trudged on, machete in hand to bridle my emotions...anyway...love this haiku...there is a tender sweetness to this and I didn't feel like saying awww, but now I want a baby duck for a pet. :)

Aaah. A timeless topic. The burning desire of one and the questions and self-doubt that accompany those feelings. I can only hope the little ducky can muster the courage.
